The Gray Project a 10-piece,
you can expect a funked-up soulful jazz/funk band of mature, talented & experienced musicians. Influences include: Gil Scott Heron, Average White Band, The Neville Brothers, Curtis Mayfield, George Benson, Grover Washington. Think an infectious, funked up “Let’s Stay Together”, a razor sharp “lady Day and John Coltrane”, or flugel horn heavy ,“Grazing in the Grass”. DJ Cello (Coast to Coast) will be conjuring up the finest sprinkling of Ska, reggae, soul, and Latin, Jazz

Emma Jackson Quartet May 17
An evening of vibrant, hard-swinging jazz led by rising saxophonist and composer Emma Jackson.
Currently in her fourth year at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Emma’s sound is deeply rooted in melody and the expressive spirit of the hard-bop tradition. Inspired by the soulful playing of Cannonball Adderley and Jackie McLean, her music reflects the rich lineage of the Great American Songbook alongside personal influences from her upbringing in Bristol and her life in London.
Miles Davis 100th birthday tribute
Aldevis Tibaldi Quartet
Come on through to Jazztrain on Sunday May 24th and check out the
improvisational force that is London-based Italian tenor saxophonist/composer Aldevis Tibaldi. This groover has produced a farrago of cool Modernism and sounds that are way beyond western styles that dig deep into orgies of rhythm and sound and that indulge deft intoxicating syncopation. We don't use these words lightly... Aldevis has a keen sensibility that will have the listener drawn into his fabulously curated world of something approaching a jazz jamboree.
